We are pleased to announce the gradual merger of Vendetta Simulations with L.A. Games, together forming Digital Mind Simulations.

The full merger will take several months to complete. In the meanwhile Vendetta Simulations will remain semi-independent to complete development of Vendetta and maintain the framework for game moderation.

Later on in 2004 both Vendetta Simulations and L.A. Games will be dissolved and only Digital Mind Simulations will remain.

Our flagship product, Vendetta is a very ambitious 200-player Mafia Simulation depicting the rise of Organized Crime from the 1920s to the 1970s. Vendetta is the only deep strategy game of its kind on the Web.

In this challenging browser-based game starting players assume the role of a minor Boss in the Prohibition underworld, controlling a small gang of strong-arm men, bootleggers and racketeers. During the course of the game you will expand your territory and rackets (from a choice of more than 120 different lucrative operations) and build up your influence, wealth, muscle and power in a huge variety of different ways.

The current Vendetta site is packed with information on the game, including a large part of the current game manual, a detailed explanation of Vendetta concepts, and a highly-acclaimed Background Story based on the current closed Alpha Test game, entitled Beyond Redemption.

Gangbangers is a fast & furious 50-player browser-based game of inner city street gang warfare set in a dark, anarchic near-future of 2025.

Designed "with insider knowledge, and that's all I'm saying" by Enrico Ramirez of L.A. Games, Gangbangers makes few compromises. Included within the 50+ Actions possible in the game will be found the likes of mugging, store raids, armed robbery, "wilding" and "malling". Dope dealing, gun running and prostitution also feature prominently and are a major source of gang income, among others such as dealing in stolen goods.

Accordingly, Gangbangers carries a Digital Mind voluntary self-certification of 'M' (Mature: age 17+ only). The UK equivalent certification is 18 years of age.

Much more than just another "drugs & pimps" game, Gangbangers features a highly-developed system of tactical street warfare, making for a superbly challenging game system.

Gangbangers is neither tick-based nor turn-based. Programmed by veteran Web game guru Sam Klauswitz, Gangbangers features an incredible system of simulated real time but in a way that is very fair to all players no matter when, or even how often, you can play.
